The Team

Trichology is a highly specialised science dealing with the treatment of hair loss and scalp disorder, this science is concerned with the structure, function and diseases of the human hair.

Here at The Hair Care and Trichology Clinic we work with people of all ages from all walks of life who suffer from many differing issues, whether it be hair loss through illness or treatment, or scalp disorders that can be incredibly uncomfortable and very difficult to live with. We have seen how these issues impact people’s lives, confidence and self-esteem and we work very closely with all our clients to minimise the impact of any of these issues, which can be so closely linked with a change in how we feel about ourselves and how we see ourselves.

The Hair Care and Trichology Clinic are very proud to be involved with two large Oncology Units in the Swindon and Bath areas as well as dealing with wig/hair piece referrals for dermatology units at Chippenham hospital, RUH Bath and GWH Swindon. We also assist patients from the Ridgeway Hospital and other private referrals.  Helping patients come to terms the changes they are going through and helping them to decide the best way for them to live with these changes, especially in their appearance. The experience we have gained over the years has put us in the very privileged position of being able to play a small part in supporting those who are having to deal with such major upheaval in their lives.

The Institute of Trichologists is the professional association for Trichologists. For the protection of patients, the Institute publishes a Code of Professional Practice and Ethics, by which all practising Trichologists who are registered members of the Institute are expected to abide. The Institute maintains a register of all qualified Trichologists and can provide details to the public on local services. The Institute of Trichologists is a non-profit organisation; it exists by student fees and membership subscriptions and with the support of companies in the wider hair care and pharmaceutical industries.
